Today (Thursday 16th November), Horizon 2020 hosted a ‘Bioeconomy Policy Day’ in Brussels.  The event announced the outcomes of the review on the Bioeconomy strategy and discussed how to move the Bioeconomy forward.

As an excellent example of how to communicate about an EU project and the biobased economy as a whole the Agrimax animation was selected as the winner through an open competition process and was shown in the plenary session. The plenary session saw talks from Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, John Bell, Director for Bioeconomy, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Simona Bonafe, MEP and rapporteur of Waste package (CE)  and Joanna Dupont-Inglis, EuropaBio (Stakeholder chair) who presented the Bioeconomy Manifesto to Commissioner Moedas.

The event, aimed at key stakeholders includes the members of the European Bioeconomy Stakeholders Panel, policy makers, including national and regional level, EC staff, SC2 project participants and the media.
