Agrimax to be part of the European Research and Innovation Days, Science is Wonderful Exhibtion!

When: 24, 25 and 26 September 2019

Taking place in the iconic venue KANAL-Centre Pompidou, Quai des Péniches, Brussels, Belgium, it aims to gather Europe’s best and brightest researchers, scientists, innovators and policy makers.

The event, which is open to everyone and is free of charge, will feature three main elements: a high-level Policy Conference, the Innovative Europe Hub and the ‘Science is Wonderful’ exhibition of EU-funded projects. This event will be an important part of the strategic planning process that sets the foundations for the first work programmes of Horizon Europe, the proposed €100 billion next EU programme for research and innovation (2021-2027).

Science is Wonderful Exhibition

Most of us instinctively feel that it is wrong to waste food; and yet around a third of all food produced is wasted, leading to environmental problems. To address this global waste issue scientists and innovative businesses are developing new ways to turn these unavoidable food wastes and by-products into a wide range of bio-based products.

BBI JU-funded project, Agrimax is developing and demonstrating the production of bio-based products from crop and food-processing waste. You can challenge your knowledge of bio-based products, from food additives, to agricultural and food packaging to fertilizers and biofuels – play our game; match the waste material to the correct end bio-based product.
