Spanish Agrimax partner IRTA recently exhibited at the St. Michael Agricultural Fair in Lleida, Spain (28th September to 1st October 2017). The St. Michael Fair showcases products and equipment for the agriculture & forestry industry.

IRTA’s stand included exhibition materials to showcase the EU-funded Agrimax project. The project is developing and demonstrating the production of multiple, high-value products from crop and food-processing waste by building two multi-feedstock pilot plants (biorefineries) in Spain and Italy.

IRTA is a research institute owned by the Government of Catalonia, Department of Agriculture. IRTA’s purpose is to contribute to the modernisation, competitiveness and sustainable development of agriculture, food and aquaculture sectors, the supply of healthy and quality foods for consumers and, generally, improving the welfare of the population.
