Agrimax researcher, María José López from the University of Almería will deliver a short talk on the Agrimax project as part of the Pint of Science Festival.
Micro-organisms are found in all parts of the Earth and we can use them to decontaminate and transform waste into valuable compounds such as fertilizers, energy, biofuels and much more. In this talk, Maria will discuss the diverse applications of the micro-organisms through two European projects: Biodecontamination of alpechín ponds (LIFE + REGROW) and biorefinery in the agri-food industry (H2020- AGRIMAX).
